Tricholobivia hybrid TRUMPET FLOWER CACTUS
A cross between two families that combines huge flowers with brilliant colors, the normally night-blooming Trichocereus now becomes a day-bloomer, and the thick, cylindrical stems display perhaps some of the largest and most beautiful flowers of the entire cactus family in colors from carmines, reds, salmon, and pure yellows to mammoth whites.
The stems clump from the base and form clusters up to 2 feet tall and usually no more than 2 1/2 feet wide; with fine ribbing covered with short, bristly, brightly colored golden spines. Handsome when it is not in bloom, the spring and summer seasons herald a blooming extravaganza that is unrivaled. Tolerant of a great range of temperatures and conditions, it is equally content from coastal and inland valley climates to hot, lower desert areas. Full sun; hardy to low twenties.
