Agave attenuata GHOST AGAVE
Even though it's called the "Ghost Agave", it's not "Scary" at all! In fact, it's the most "tame" member of the Agave family with soft, smooth, toothless, leaves of blue-grey. Quite versatile, it can make itself at home in a tropical, Mediterranean, or desert landscape. The "Ghost" can form large "heads" up to 3 feet across and elevating slightly on brown trunk stems to almost 4 feet tall. Branching at the base, they can form substantial clumps. Full sun to partial shade. Recommended for coastal areas only, as it can be quite frost sensitive. Unlike some of its other family members who are strictly drought resistant, this one also flourishes with regular or even substantial water and fertilizer for fast growth and beautiful color.
