Faucaria tigrina
JAWS!

A strange little mound of succulent plant with "toothy" opposing leaves that look like gaping "jaws." The small, dark green, triangular leaves are packed tightly into little clumps that are never more than a couple of inches tall, and usually no wider than 8-10" wide. The big surprise is the relatively "huge" dandelion-like, yellow flowers that pop out seemingly from nowhere in the spring, a single flower covering much of the plant. Use in potted succulent groupings, nooks and crannies in rock and succulent gardens, and any area where this interesting little guy can be presented close to the eye of the viewer. Tender to frost; full sun to lightly filtered shade; allow to dry briefly between watering. Slows down in the summer months, and grows most actively in the cooler seasons.
